When the previews of this limited edition came out, everybody went crazy about how cute it all looks and how everything is sure to smell amazing, but I was less than excited since I always hate the artificial sweet scent such products usually have, it literary makes me sick to my stomach. Until yesterday, when I randomly walked into my nearest drugstore and well, the rest is history. If you know me at all, you would know that I'm the slowest when it comes to publishing posts in general; the fact that I got these products, tested them out, took pictures, edited pictures and am now writing a blog post, ALL IN ONE DAY, I think that speaks for itself.
What got my attention was the hand cream that I briefly sniffed out of pure curiosity. This literary smells like cookies and I actually don't find it artificial at all. If you add to that the cutest packaging ever and a really low price (1,99€)... Well it's a win already. I didn't believe the "100% non greasy" caption, but while it leaves the tiniest bit of a film on my hands, it really is noticeably less greasy than their usual hand creams. It is of course not the most moisturising, hydrating or nourishing hand cream, but it does make my hands silky smooth and we usually don't suffer from extremely dry skin in the summer, right?
The next thing I picked up was this mini nail file with the cutest print and I've been meaning to get myself a cheap nail file anyway since I always find myself aching for a little buff whenever I'm on the go, but I hate carrying my glass file with me - clumsy people will relate. The cool thing about this file is that it's actually scented! There's something you don't see every day, huh! Well the scent is barely noticeable in my opinion but you know, I find it cool. Otherwise, the file is quite rough and definitely not a polishing one or something you'd use as your primary 'nail styling tool', but I find it just perfect for those quick little fixes while running around the city.
Lastly, I quickly swiped my finger on the blush and eyeshadow testers and let me tell you, I was quite shocked - both by pigmentation and by the amazing shades (the blush and the eyeshadows are actually baked). The blush only comes in one shade (01 Cakepop, that's top!) and is this ah-mazing, what, peachy coral with pink sheen? I won't even bother explaining the shade and the pictures do it poor justice as well, but if you have the chance, go check it out yourself since it really is stunning. And that's coming from a blush hater! I actually adore how this looks on me, colour me converted! All eyeshadows are amazing as well, but I opted for this one since it's just PURRfect (01 So hot, donut!). You know how on a beautiful hot day you just don't feel like putting on many eyeshadows and worrying about blending and all you want is just one perfect shade that you can slap on and run out the door? Well this is the shade. Bronzy, but not really bronze; warm, but not really orange; gold, but not really yellow; satiny, but not overly shimmery. I guess you can now already tell I'm in love and I'm just going to point out once again that my swatches do not do them justice, as well as this face shot that is kind of pointless. I'm wearing the eyeshadow and the blush, but it's put on over my makeup that I had been wearing the entire hot day (including bronzer, which I guess is kind of taking attention away from the blush). Also blushes never show up on camera, it's a curse.
I'd also recommend the highlighting pearls that smell amazing and looked really pretty when I swatched them in the store (but those little balls always end up everywhere so I didn't get it) and both other eyeshadows - there's a beautiful pearly, highlighting shade and another brownish one that is a bit cooler, if you don't like bronzy hues. Sadly I didn't swatch the rest, but share your thoughts with me down in the comments below if you have any opinions on this collection!
