Meet the brand: Yves Rocher

Back in December I attended another blogger event, this time hosted by Yves Rocher. I've heard of the brand before and I'm sure a lot of you have too, but until the event I hadn't tried anything from them yet and everything was fairly new to me, so that's why I decided to skip the usual 'blogger event recap' post (most of the bloggers that were with me put together beautiful posts about it: Maja, Sandra, Sanja, Sara) and instead create another entry for my 'Meet the brand' series.

The girls that organized the event were so so sweet and apart from the amazing ambient that they delivered, they also treated us to a lot of goodies and I've tried most of them out by now. I'll try to be as quick as I can with so many products, hang in there, okay?

Quite a few amazing products on the first image. The body lotion is amaaazing for dry skin, I'd even say it's very close the Dream Cream (which is saying a lot), but with a much better scent. I'll probably be purchasing another one soon (or maybe the butter from the same line). The shampoo is really creamy and perfect for dry hair (so cheap too!), as well as the conditioner next to it. When I do the whole routine - hair oil on my hair for half an hour or longer and then the shampoo and the conditioner, my hair is so soft and silky, I can't even tell you. I think I even tweeted about it the fist time I tried them all out, I was really impressed. The dry body oil on the right is their ultimate best seller and I can definitely see why - it smells absolutely heavenly, feels ah-mazing on your skin, sinks in immediately and is just a treat all over. Due to a summery scent I'm saving it for warmer months so snow, I think it's time for you to go.
Moving on to the little bits and pieces: I don't have a bath so I didn't get to try out the fizzy strawberry bath cube, but it does smell amazing. The little gift packet is a set of perfume samples that I gave to my mom since she's a perfume junkie. The lip balm didn't really impress me, my lips require hard core nourishment so this wasn't quite enough. Lastly there are some face mask/moisturizer samples that I also gave to my mom.

The three 'Cacao' products that you see here were a part of a limited holiday collection and they basically smell like coco + pistachio/orange/raspberry. I gave the shower gel to my dad since he loves pistachio, the hand cream smelled amazing, but wasn't enough for my dry skin so I gave it to my sister and that leaves out the third product, that sparkling little ball of heaven. It's a dry body oil with tiny glitter that smells like coco and oranges and it's the most beautiful winter scent ever! The oil is really lovely on the skin too, leaving it nourished, sparkly and not greasy at all. Real shame these are not in the permanent range.
Okay some face skin care; the gel face wash took some getting used to since you need a tiny amount and it doesn't really lather up, but it turned out to be amazing and perfect for dry skin. It really cleanses your skin without drying it out at all (I should know since basically every face wash dries me out) and is a perfect product to massage your face a bit more than usual (that's a weird thing to say, but the consistency just makes you want to rub it all over your face for as long as possible). The cranberry cooling mask is a cool product indeed, smells lovely and feels lovely, although I don't really thing it does things for my skin. It's just lovely. The three makeup products are getting a separate post! ;)

Last, but not least, I have some mini products: the first three are a part of another limited collection and they smell amazeballs, why are the best things almost always limited?! I actually gave the shower gel and the body lotion away since I didn't want to be selfish, but I use the perfume religiously. Another mini set is luckily not a limited edition (the bath cube from the first photo should actually be included here) since I again only kept the EDT and gave the shower gel away, but it's the most spot-on strawberry scent ever and seriously using too much of this but  I can't help it! Gotta go back to the store and smell the other mini eau de toilettes as well (and stock up on the strawberry one).

  1. Zadnje čase nonstop videvam to znamko in me že kar vleče, da bi si kaj naročila, da bi še sama preizkusila :) Še posebej me vlečejo ti izdelki za tuširanje, glede na to da sem trenutno v iskanju kakega novega dobrega vonja :))

Thank you for your lovely comments - they make my day! I try to reply to everyone :)
I do however not appreciate any 'follow for follow' offers so don't bother with those. xx
