Moving on with the Snow White collection hype!
The summer heat is still around, so I went with another bright color, Doc, which I assume is shorter for doctor. I was really curious why they went with the orange color, since it has nothing to do with medicine, so I Googled it and there are no 'official' colors that belong to the dwarfs (everyone says differently and the pictures vary too). I suppose Essence just chose the colors that they thought were gonna sell/they haven't yet released ;)
You may know that I hate orange on my nails, but obviously I had to try every single dwarf on my nails, so here it is now. I'm not gonna say I love it on my nails, but I really like the color itself and bearing in mind that it is summer, a time for bright and fun colors, I can live with orange on my nails for a few days ;)
The color is actually not special. It's special in my collection, because you can hardly find anything orange in there, but it's just a bright orange creme polish. It looks really bright on me on the sun, but perhaps that's because I never wear oranges and don't really know what a bright orange means. :D
The application was a bit problematic, since the polish is a little bit thicker, so I had to be really careful when applying it. The next time I wear it (if) I'll probably put some thinner in it. On the pictures I used two coats, no TC.
I wanted to 'upgrade' it a little bit, just so that my nails wouldn't be all orange, but I've actually just joined a Summer challenge and you'll see the upgrade when I post my second challenge mani ;)
Here's a happy news. One of my lovely readers contacted me and told me she found two Grumpies left in a drugstore that wasn't near me at all, so she kindly offered to buy them and mail them to me! They came this morning and thanks to her, my collection is now more than complete and I'm stocked up on this blue beauty :) She has also just started a blog, so hop over there and follow her! :) Here's the link.

How do you like orange nail polish?
Is there a nail polish shade that you really don't like wearing?
Do you think this polish is bright or just a regular orange?
I don't wear orange on my nails eather, but I had Doc in my shopping cart before I realised I can't waste all my money on all the polishes I wanted to have, therefore I had to limit myself to the ones that I love best... But it looks really nice on you, I don't know if I would get used to my nails being as bright though ;)
ReplyDeleteHaha, that's always my problem - I don't have money to buy 10 polishes, but I NEED them - so they all go with me. Ugh. I don't have a problem with brights tho ;)
DeleteI don't mind orange - but most nudes, greys and browns look terrible on me.

I would actually consider this one strong and bold, although you probably meant darker also :) pethapr you just haven't found the perfect nude/grey/brown yet ;)
DeleteI found a Grumpy yesterday but I see now you already have completed your collection (and have also a backup bottle :D). I bought one for myself, too and I've already tried it on, it's really gorgeous!
